Usually the apps am working on are styled based on the clients style guidelines and need to look identical on all devices and instances. I forgot there is the option using dynamic colour schemes.

Using the Material Theme Builder an accessible colour scheme can be created by e.g. adapting to the wallpaper on a non-IOS device. The builder can also be used to retrieve the source colour for the theme of the app.

It may be worth trying to customise a model specifically to do this task, which I try at a later stage.
